Dearest Anne, Yes they sure are. Walking with a friend and her big dugs around a little lake, she'd discovered a duck's nest with 3 eggs. Yes, we're ahead with nature compared to your region. BUT a couple of days later, after LOTS of rain, the duck's nest was one foot under water... SAD! Will enjoy their chatter more in the coming days. Great photo. Hugs, Mariette
