KURKI The common crane (Grus grus)

 

                                                Kurkiaura lensi meidän pihan yli. 

Tuuli oli ilmeisesti suotuisa. Linnut jäivät pitkäksi aikaa paikalle kiertämään ympyrää.

 Mahtavan näköistä, kun tuuli puhalsi lintujen siipien alle, nostaen lintuja yhä korkeammalle.

              Ps. Tänään on satanut vettä melkein koko päivän. Nyt sade lakkasi +13°C

    Such majestic birds!! 13C is a nice Spring temperature. We're having plus 30C and it's early for such heat. Who knows what the coming weeks will bring!!!

    How lovely! Do the cranes breed in Finland? I have seen them only twice, high up in the sky flying over. We are not on their main migration route.
